Project Overview:

The Challenge:

A century-old historic mosque was undergoing a massive restoration. The Ministry of Culture required the new carpet to replicate the exact colors and intricate floral motifs of the original, hand-woven antique carpet, while upgrading to modern safety and durability standards.

Our Solution:

Our heritage design division scanned remnants of the original carpet to digitally reconstruct the classic Ottoman-era patterns. We chose an 80% wool and 20% nylon Axminster blend—the gold standard for commercial durability and color clarity. The yarn was custom-dyed using eco-friendly, fade-resistant dyes to match the precise historical color palette.
